.about.

I live and work in the Chicagoland area. This site is a reflection of how I see my environment.

.history.

I became interested in photography at about 12 years of age. My first camera was my mother's Kodak Brownie Super 27. I quickly developed an interest in pursuing photography and began taking pictures for my school yearbooks. After graduating from high school I attended Kendall College in Evanston, Illinois. I majored in Applied Social Science with a minor in art and also studied photography at Stuart-Rodgers School of Photography in Evanston, Illinois and began working for George Poulos and Associates, Photographers in Skokie, Illinois. During the years after my graduation from college I worked as a freelance photographer for Einzig Photography of New York City and Lerner Newspapers of Chicago.

.work.

My work has been influenced by Minor White, Edward Weston, Diane Arbus, Art Kane, Japanese art, Mies van der Rohe and the thoughts and wisdom of Zippy the Pinhead.

.statement.

I look for details, order and symmetry that may be overshadowed by the greater scope of the scene. I look for what may be easily overlooked.
