.why are most of your
photos untitled?. |
 |
|
I have never considered a
title to be of great importance. A photograph should stand alone. If the
photographer has succeeded, additional explanation is not be needed. When I do
add a title I try and keep it very short. I never title nude studies, beyond,
perhaps, the first name of the model. |

| .why
don't you include technical data?. |

|
.what is your opinion
of film vs. digital. |
 |
|
I see a camera, whether loaded
with silver based film, a memory card or a glass wet-plate, as a means to an
end. I don't believe it matters how the image was brought to life; only that it
exists. When I stood before the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel I did not form an
opinion of the work based on the type of brush used to create it. |

| |
| .do
you use filters?. |
 |
|
I use 25A red filters with
infrared film and occasionally with other black & white film. I use a
polarizer with almost all color film and digital applications. |
